Laurel Joakimides

Laurel comes to Genysys with over 30 years of business management, corporate training, and academic experience in communication, leadership training and development, and Strategic Futuring™ for individuals and organizations.

Laurel has taught in the Department of Communication Studies at five universities and community colleges in California and Oregon and has worked extensively within the non-profit community, helping organizations clarify their mission and core values and turning “ho-hum” leaders into quality leaders.

Upon retirement from academe in 2013, Laurel enrolled in The Genysys Group’s Strategic Futuring program and is currently a certified facilitator. Her passion is to continue working with individuals and organizations who find themselves going through significant change and in need of reliable tools with which to define their vision and set specific, measurable goals that will turn their vision into reality.
