Neal Welland

Neal comes to The Genysys Group from a 30-year career in the fire service, where he experienced the tremendous impact of leadership on individuals and organizations. After retiring from the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department with the rank of Fire Chief, he realized he had the education, training, and experience that could be put to good use as a consultant for The Genysys Group. Neal is particularly interested in introducing and developing leadership skills to the young employees of an organization and those who find themselves in a position to take on leadership responsibilities for the first time.

 

Neal has an Associate Arts degree in Fire Science from Rio Hondo Community College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from UCLA, and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership degree from Azusa Pacific University. He has served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, Quaker Meadow Christian Camp, Rio Hondo Symphony, Rio Hondo Community College Foundation, and CAPC, a non-profit organization the helps people with physical and mental disabilities maximize their quality of life in their home community.
